Low DP Transducer Output Issues

  • If the unit seems to be "reading" the opposite of what is expected, check that it is plumbed correctly:

    • The space to be monitored is plumbed to the HI port and the reference space is plumbed to the LO port.

  • If the output seems to be twice or half of what it should be, check the range of the unit: is it bi-directional or uni-directional?

    • The output signal is proportional to the pressure range

  • Where are you reading the signal from?

    • Check the output directly from the transducer

      • There might be a issue with how the PLC/BAS system is reading the signal

  • Try to zero the instrument

    • Pull the instrument off the system and let it hang in the air

    • Leave both ports open to atmosphere or with place a jumper tube over the high and low port and put a little pin prick in the tube

    • Follow the "adjust zero" instructions in the operating instructions for that transducer

      • All operating instructions can be found on the website
